Questions and answers
Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to the questions pet owners ask us most. Can't find yours? Just ask.
Do I need an appointment?
We recommend booking ahead so we can give your pet the time it needs and keep waiting to a minimum. Call us on +357 99 427605 or send a WhatsApp message.
If your pet is unwell and you're not sure whether it can wait, call us. We'll tell you how soon your pet should be seen.
What vaccinations does my pet need?
It depends on your pet's age, lifestyle and travel plans, so we tailor a plan at the first visit. As a general guide:
- Dogs receive core vaccines against distemper, parvovirus and canine hepatitis, with others such as leptospirosis and rabies recommended depending on lifestyle and travel.
- Cats receive core vaccines against feline panleukopenia, herpesvirus and calicivirus, with others added depending on whether they go outdoors.
- Puppies and kittens usually start at around 6–8 weeks, with a course of injections a few weeks apart, then regular boosters.
Bring any previous vaccination records and we'll pick up from there.
Do you offer microchipping?
Yes. Microchipping is quick, takes only a moment and gives your pet a permanent ID number that vets and shelters can scan. In Cyprus, dogs must be microchipped and registered, and a microchip is also needed before your pet can travel abroad.
Can you help with pet travel documents?
Yes. Travel rules depend on the destination and can involve a microchip, a rabies vaccination given in the right order, waiting periods, parasite treatments and official paperwork. Contact us as early as possible, ideally a few months before you travel, and we'll take you through what your pet needs.
What should I do in an emergency?
Call us straight away on +357 99 427605. Tell us what has happened and we'll advise you on the next step.
If we are closed or you can't reach us, take your pet to the nearest 24-hour emergency veterinary clinic without delay. Signs that need urgent attention include difficulty breathing, collapse, heavy bleeding, seizures, suspected poisoning, a swollen or hard belly, or straining without passing urine.
What animals do you treat?
We care for dogs and cats every day, from first puppy and kitten visits to senior check-ups. If you have a rabbit or another small pet, give us a call first and we'll let you know whether we're the right clinic for them.
Still have a question?
Call or WhatsApp the clinic and we'll be happy to help.
